Worship and Prayers

Last Sunday we were given the opportunity to write a prayer on the floor of the new auditorium before the carpet is laid down. Here are a few photos of that day....

The Walls of the New Church are Raised

Here is a collection of pictures from the day that the walls went up for the new church building.

Working on the inside and the outside

The kitchen, toilets, offices and auditorum are all taking shape, and we can start to see the design become a reality. How exciting. These photos were taken on the 8th July.

Trenches have been dug for the footings – the ground was so hard it broke one of the teeth on the bucket of the trench digger!

The hole for the septic tank has been dug outside the Western Room.

Plumbing for kitchen and toilets have been created and the conduits which will carry audio/lighting and projection cables have been laid under the future foundation.

Slab Poured - click to see photo

Our building development is running on schedule! This week the slab was poured in two parts. The first slab was the area outside the front offices and the Northern entrance, kitchen and toilets. The second slab poured will be the auditorium. It has been poured to create two slabs so that sound vibrations will not travel from the auditorium to the offices and new welcome centre.

Building will halt for a short time over the Christmas break

Major Redevelopment Underway

Friends you will notice that siteworks are beginning at 1263 Grand Junction Road. This is an exciting and challenging time for us. The current facilities are still in use - except for the shed! When you arrive for worship please be aware that carparking will be different from week to week. We encourage you to leave a little earlier and park off site if possible.

The First Walls for the New Church

Today the first of the cement precast panels are being put into place. The workers started very early this morning (see the photo of the Trucks on Grand Junction Rd). The panels should be completed on Friday.
