Alpha

The Alpha Course is a practical introduction to the Christian faith. There are 15 video talks given by Nicky Gumbel who is an entertaining speaker. The course, usually over 3 months, provides an opportunity to make new friends and to discuss issues of life raised in the talks. People’s opinions are respected and there is no ‘hard sell’ of ideas.

It is an ideal course based on the Bible for those wanting to find out about Christianity. Over 1000 churches of many denominations have used the program in Australia and the people who attend really enjoy it and grow in their faith. Courses are usually held each year at Hope Valley Uniting Church.
